(Washington, DC) – House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Chairman Frank Lucas (R-OK) released a statement today on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization that was reported out of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

“I’d like to congratulate Chairman Graves and Ranking Member Larsen for reporting the FAA reauthorization out of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee today. As the Committee with jurisdiction over FAA’s research, engineering, and development activities, the Science Committee will report out the R&D title for this bill tomorrow. I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues on T&I to ensure that when the legislation comes before the full House it incorporates this R&D title and other Science Committee priorities, such as preserving our vibrant and growing commercial space industry.”
