Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced the conferees to the House-Senate Conference Committee to resolve bicameral differences in the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Rep. Mike Garcia (R-CA) and Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA) have been named as the Republican conferees from the Science, Space, and Technology Committee.
Chairman Frank Lucas congratulated Garcia and Collins on their appointments. “The NDAA is crucial legislation that supports our military, our national security, and our mission readiness,” Lucas said. “Reps. Mike Garcia and Mike Collins are both thoughtful leaders who value a strong military and cutting-edge national defense. They understand that science and technology are critical to America’s global military leadership, and they are strong advocates for our service members. I’m confident they’ll do excellent work in conferencing the NDAA.”
