Science Committee Republicans Reiterate Call for Answers as DOE Fails to Respond to Oversight Inquiries on New “Clean Energy Corps”
House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Republicans, led by Ranking Member Frank Lucas, wrote to Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jennifer Granholm today requesting overdue answers on an oversight request about the Department’s new Clean Energy Corps.

Science Committee Republicans Question DOE's Creation of a "Clean Energy Corps"
The letter to Secretary Jennifer Granholm raised questions about the Department’s plan to hire 1,000 new employees “with a mission of supercharging the clean energy revolution.” This hiring initiative will be the largest DOE staff expansion in more than four decades and will substantially increase the size of the Department’s workforce. Yet DOE has provided almost no details to Congress about this initiative.

Today, House Science, Space, and Technology Committee Ranking Member Frank Lucas (R-OK) and Energy Subcommittee Ranking Member Randy Weber (R-TX) sent a letter to Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm requesting information about the Department’s efforts to assist the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry to protect itself from cybersecurity threats from Russia.
