Washington D.C. – Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight Chairman Paul Broun (R-GA) today sent a follow-up letter to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Administrator Jane Lubchenco, again requesting details of travel expenses by senior management at the Agency.
“After six months, NOAA still refuses to provide details on senior management travel, only lending credibility to allegations that some of this travel was inappropriate and unnecessary,” said Chairman Broun. “At a time when NOAA and the Department of Commerce are scrutinizing scientists’ participation in conferences, the Subcommittee is interested in knowing whether senior management have used travel funding appropriately.”
